This weekend African-Americans took imaginary trips to a beautiful place called Wakanda. For 2 hours we were allowed to feel joy and take pride in being Black and to celebrate a culture that is uniquely ours. And then the lights came up and the credits began to roll and it was back to a reality that often includes being misunderstood not only for the color of your skin, but your culture too. On today’s show, Dr. James-Etta Goodloe shares her insight on cultural diversity and how we can start a necessary conversation and begin to bridge the gap in our communities, schools and work spaces.
